Keep the parts and rebuild it with new shock cord! They are user serviceable and easily customized. If you decide to discard, recycle the plastic (polypropylene).

How long does your shock cord stretch?

Roughly double the original length.

How much load can shock cord take?

Shock has rubber strands inside of it. Once they are overcome by the load applied, then the casing of the shockcord takes over (that's when the shock cord feels like it stopped stretching). The two strands of shock cord are described as being able to take 100 pounds. However, these are not meant for load supporting or human lifting.

Is this product prop 65 compliant in California?

BundeZe consist of mostly polypropylene and rubber strands, with a little bit of casing over the rubber strands. None of those ingredients are intended to be consumed or injected. Heating bundeZe or burning bundeZe will release toxic fumes, as does most everything else on the planet -- do not smoke bundeZe.
